As an expert in analysing and emulating vintage recordings, Clive is often asked to recreate sections of copyrighted recordings that have been sampled by other artists.
This process involves forensically listening to the original sample to identify which instruments are being played and how they've been recorded and mixed, then replaying and recording the chords and melodies as accurately as possible. This is then mixed and processed using similar processes to the original production.
This creates an authentic-sounding cover version, which is then used by the artist in place of the original recording.
